Philosophy of life

Haven't thought much about this before. Guess I am influenced by Buddhist philosophy, i.e. karma, rebirth, cause and effect etc. It does seem strange that when one is young, one does not usually believe in religion (translate as God/ Buddha/other dieties etc) until one comes to a certain age and then bingo one slowly comes onto the path. This is the case for most people. Some do not come onto the path at all. Why is this so? This is what can be loosely termed as affinity with that religion. When the time is ripe for this affinity to manifest itself, it will. All this is part of one,s fate as determined by one's past karma. To some this may seem to be a fatalistic attitude, but all is not lost as we can alter or moderate our fate in this life to some extend depending on our present actions and behaviour. The same reason can be used to explain why of all the billions of people in this world the paths or two people will cross at a specific place and time.

Hobbies

My interests:Varied but tended towards the less physical unlike my scientific training. Genereally it encompasses swimming (just love that relaxing, floating feeling), walking, reading, some DIY round the house, a bit of gardening (just love to see things grow), being a couch potato if time permits and of course daydreaming, the healthies and cheapest pastime. Helps to relax the brain I think (or does it overstrain it? You tell me)
